    Support for G-Tube Feeding

PPEC for Children with G-Tube Feeding

Daily G-tube feeding support for children across Miami-Dade and South Broward — including Pembroke Pines, Miramar, and Hollywood — delivered by Registered Nurses.

    What is G-Tube Feeding?

A gastrostomy tube (G-tube) is a feeding tube placed directly into the stomach for children who cannot meet their nutritional needs by mouth. G-tube feeding requires careful scheduling, formula preparation, site care, and monitoring for tolerance, reflux, and skin integrity.

How PPEC Helps Children with G-Tube Feeding

Blessed Pediatric Care delivers G-tube feedings throughout the care day exactly as prescribed by the treating physician or dietitian, with nursing oversight of every bolus or pump feed. We support continuous, bolus, and blenderized diet plans.

    Does Medicaid Cover PPEC Services?

Yes. Florida Medicaid covers Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) when a treating physician certifies medical necessity. Blessed Pediatric Care is a Medicaid-enrolled PPEC provider serving Miami-Dade and South Broward families. Our intake team verifies eligibility, obtains prior authorization, and coordinates the plan of care at no cost to your family.

    Does Transportation Qualify?

Yes. Medicaid-covered non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) is typically available for children authorized for PPEC services. Blessed Pediatric Care helps families across Miami Gardens, North Miami, Opa-Locka, Hialeah, Aventura, Miami Lakes, Miramar, Pembroke Pines, Hollywood, and Hallandale Beach schedule daily pickups and drop-offs.

    How Admission Works

Admission begins with a physician referral and a current History & Physical. Our intake team obtains the plan of care, verifies Medicaid eligibility, schedules a tour of our Miami Gardens facility, and works with the child's medical team to start care — usually within days of approval. Families are welcome to call (305) 260-6621 or submit a referral online.
